Driving through northern California, I could enjoy the hiking and views as long as I stayed bundled!

We got to Mount Shasta at sunset. It is an amazing mountain.

We hiked along the Susan River on the Bizz Johnson Trail / Bikepath. There were some wild ducks and river still had lots of ice.

Lake Almanor near Lassen reminds me a lot of Lake Isabella where I lived in high school. (Notice the parallel contrails?)

Well I guess not everyone has to be bundled up!
Neil at Lassen would have hiked farther on the snow to the boiling sulfury mud pots but I said I didn't have the shoes for it.
