It takes a lot of skill to pull the rip cord at just the right moment to bring us alongside someone in all that open space. Aside from all his wins in competition this is a good reason why J.C. is regarded at one of the top skydivers worldwide.
We soon came side-by-side with less than an arm's length between our canopies. This picture doesn't show it, but swinging like pendula, there were moments when we could almost hold hands.
After Neil took that picture of me I took this one of him. Notice the camera in his right hand. That's how he got all those shots in freefall.
We then began an aerial dance of spiraling around each other.
Sometimes closer, sometimes farther.
Until we made our final approach for landing.Touchdown was as easy as stepping off an escalator.
Hooray!!!
