Dee's Reef Dive
February 19, 2005

Bob Warnock took a few pictures from Bob and Dee's lanai as we headed out for the dive.

Underwater, we have Benda, and Dee, Robin, and David (swimming out of the picture).

I will start with the last pictures of the dive and a question. We found this school under a small ledge at Hogfish reef. At first I thought they were Taylor's Gobies because of size and location. Dee thought they were baby Cardinals because of the dot on the tail. Now that we have the photos to see them, I agree with Dee that they are baby Iridescent Cardinalfish. Any opinions?

It think baby Iridescent Cardinalfish very transparent, but Taylor's are yellow
Also a find at Hogfish reef were two white Leaf Scorpionfish.
Dee found her little Yellowmargin Moray Eel at her close reef. We then found a bigger one hiding in the reef around farther.

Now for a few more questions? Which Parrotfish species are these?
What species Parrotfish do you think this is?

And here is a fish Dee and I haven't seen before. I think it is a juvenile wrasse, but which one (a hybrid?)? Please forgive the pictures, this little one moved really fast and I took about a ton of photos to get a few turn out.

For the rest of the photos, I will just group the pictures as things that live in the reef.
Banded Cleaner Shrimp Marbled Srimp

Things that live in the sand.
Hawaiian Sand Goby Flowery Flounder Ulae Lizardfish Peacock Razor Wrasse Urchin Stripbelly Pufferfish
