We live in a small one bedroom wooden cottage (approx. 400 sq. feet) with large lanai (deck) located on South Kihei Road across the street from the ocean with a long white sand beach (Sugar Beach is 5 miles of beach!) 

We are set back from the road so don't get much traffic noise. We enjoy the view of the ocean and palms down our driveway.

The living room, dining, and kitchen are all in long "front room" which has a sliding glass door and large window giving us a wonderful view of the ocean and often whale sightings from the kitchen table.

We love the ocean and have the ocean themes throughout the house. Bedroom and bathroom are all marine life and shells.

The front lanai is large and has a hammock and hammock chair among other seating to enjoy the outdoors. (featuring visiting friends)

Sometimes we BBQ on our a gas grill and picnic beside the house.

A friend of our neighbor got some great aerial photos. We are under the yellow circle; the roof is pretty much hidden by the large mango tree and palms.. Neil's mom Jean and her husband Morley live in the house to the lower right of ours.

We enjoy walking our beach immediately across the street from the cottage at sunset.
