Quentin's 2004 Visit
June 2004

Quentin is currently living in Dublin, Ireland with his Mom, Vajra, his Stepfather, Peter, and his little sister, Sophie. They all visited Maui for three weeks this May-June. Neil and I got to spend 2 days with Quentin and also got to meet Sophie for the first time. Sophie was too little (9 months) to go out and play this time but maybe next trip.

They have been in Ireland almost a year, and have another year to go on Peter's assignment with Intel. They reside in Portland, Oregon, when not in Ireland. Fortunately for us, they have a home in Hana so will still visit Maui often!!!

Thank you to Neil for the great photography.

On one visit, we went to the aquarium where I used to take Quentin when he was smaller. He really seemed to enjoy the fish. But eventually was ready to just play with his soccer ball! I tried to get him to talk to his Grandma and Grandpa Beamer but he wanted nothing to do with the phone and eventually covered his ears.

Quentin was giving the fish names: This is Sean...The outside Discovery Pool!

Our first outing was to the park. Quentin remembers Aunt Nan for taking him to the park. His first comment when we arrived was "There is nobody here." He has been attending Montessori school and is clearly getting used to playing with others. We climbed, slid, and built sand castles, then flew a kite. But once a few other kids showed up he ran back to play with them on the slides and swings.

Aunt Nan and QuentinHe was really loving getting his hands in the sand.
The sand castles were more like mounds, but fun to build.Quentin shows Aunt Nan how to do it.
Peter and Vajra sent us a few photos of Quentin and Sophie at Christmas:

We sadly said good-bye for another year.
