Quentin celebrated his eighth birthday this month with a party at his new home. They moved back to Paia last month to share the home with Grandma Marjorie (Vajra's mother). It is about 8 miles from Makawao so he changed to Paia school. He has adjusted quickly and enjoys the after school program he is in. Vajra is taking 15 units at MCC as well as working part time.

Neil was only able to snap a few pictures of Quentin opening his presents because there was a lot of activity and he was very active!

What he wanted was Bakugon. I had never heard of them but I guess they are the "new" Pokemon replacement collectibles with battle arena. They sell out as fast as they come in to the island shops and Vajra hadn't been able to get them. I got some on the mainland and Grandma Audrey got him some too! He ended up with seven characters and extra power cards. He was rather excited.

Sophie is five and so I wrapped a few gifts for her to open and Grandma Audrey sent some too so she wouldn't be left out. She was pleased when we arrived and showed us her birthday dress . She is also more patient looking at her gifts a little longer. Vajra paused from hostessing to look at the new clothes Grandma sent.
