Written March 2006Quentin is in Kindergarten now and growing up so fast. Sophie, his little sister, is a sweetheart and is 2 1/2. Sophie got to come with us for a day outing where we went to the park, then the Aquatic Center (I didn't try to take pictures in the pool), and then we came home to visit Uncle Neil. I have added more pictures below from the last year's outings with Quentin.
Quentin had just climbed UP the slide. One of his favorite things to do.
Climbing up or down. It doesn't matter to Quentin. Sophie learned to slide by herself!
One of the things we got Quentin for Christmas was a toy blue car. He got to unwrap it early on one of our outings in Hana where he and I visited our friend Chuck Thorne (Maui Cave Adventures). Quentin enjoyed it so much there that he asked to visit the next time I went to Hana to see him. When Quentin drove by Chuck's place with his mom, he recognized it and told Vajra that is where Aunt Nan's friend lives. After he opened the car, he promptly tried to make it an airplane. It flew into a few pieces when it hit the ground. He picked them up and brought them to Chuck and requested he fix it. Chuck did a great job with duc tape even with Quentin nearly standing on top of him. With it in one piece again he didn't necessarily keep it close to the ground but he did keep his hand on it while he ate string cheese in the other hand.
Another thing Quentin enjoys doing is swinging in our hammock chair. Actually it's the foot rest that makes the best swing. But then he likes to sit in the chair, have one of us twist it around and let it go so he spins very fast. Once he said spin me so I go as fast as a hurricane. I am not sure where he learned about hurricanes?
