Quentin's Projects
May 2008
Quentin has been at our home a few times in
the last several months since he now lives on "this side" of the
island. Playing with his Nintendo DS and on the computer are two of his
favorite pastimes.
We limit the amount of time
he is on the computer here
because we would rather do some outside projects, but he does like
interaction with us even when he is on the computer. (Look at this...,
watch this....)
One of Quentin's projects was picking mangos with Uncle Neil from the
tree over our cottage.
We had an irrigation pipe break and water
shooting high in the air last month. After we got the water turned off,
Neil and Quentin investigated repairing it.
Quentin had to replace batteries in his voice distorter box and
borrowed Uncle Neil's tiny screwdriver set.
Our neighbor put up a new fence between the properties after cutting
down the trees that were knocking down the old fence. Quentin helped us
dig the trench to plant new plants for greenery outside our kitchen
window.
We planted red torch ginger plants and put boards down to keep the wild
chickens from digging them up in their effort to root out bugs.
Quentin spent the night with us when his mom had a trip to Oahu and he
had his stuffed Pikachu toy on hand to sleep with. He talked to his
mom, his Grandma Beamer, and his father Jason on the cell phone during
the day.
